'No Surprise' Remote Workers Earn More, Says CEO

AUSTIN, Texas - March 17, 2023 - PRLog -- The CEO of an online jobs board and resource site dedicated to all things remote work said he wasn't surprised by the findings of research that indicated remote workers are paid more than their in-office counterparts for the same or similar job roles.

"It's no surprise that remote jobs pay more than in-person jobs," said Joseph Boll, RemoteWorker CEO, whose organization aims to provide talent acquisition services and other employment resources for remote workers, remote work jobseekers, and hiring managers, employers and HR personnel seeking to recruit and hire the top talent for remote positions.

Boll continued, "In a time when some antiquated companies are insisting that workers return to the office, business leaders are setting the standard by adapting to the new world of work. In most cases, this means working with employees on flexibility — so, offering remote work where possible and other forms of flexibility for the few jobs that may not be able to be done remotely. These forward-thinking businesses are also more likely not to back down from generous benefits like higher salaries, paid time-off and others, recognizing the value of their staff."

According to the CEO, these trends go hand-in-hand, so it's logical that where remote work is offered, other benefits will likely follow. He said this just adds to the ever-growing list of remote work's pros for both employers and employees, and why remote jobs top the desirability list for most of the American labor market. However, at the same time, Boll said the higher salaries could inadvertently send the wrong message.

"It's decidedly not the case that any given remote worker is more talented than someone who works in a physical office for the same or a similar role," Boll emphasized. "Jobseekers shouldn't be discouraged by this, because the unfortunate fact is that right now, it's more a matter of opportunity than anything. While some companies are still stubbornly trying to hold onto the old way of working, even though workers found en masse that it does not work in their favor — which was part of the reason for the Great Resignation to start with — the number of remote jobs isn't as large as it should be. But that's why resources like Remote Worker exist, to help maximize opportunities for anyone looking for those golden remote job opportunities, and we cannot stress enough that they are just as qualified for that work flexibility and higher salary as the employee who has it."
