Teammates Commercial Interiors Creates a Functional and Innovative Design Within Its New Showroom

DENVER - April 11, 2023 - PRLog -- Teammates Commercial Interiors, a Denver-based commercial office furniture dealer, is proud to unveil its newly renovated office space at York Street Yards. The new office space is within an adaptive reuse complex for entrepreneurs, makers, and manufacturers.

Building A Vision

Teammates Kimberly Dawes, Vice-President of Design, collaborated with the architects and designers at UNUM collaboration, as well as Downtown Property Services, LLC, who drove the project to completion. By incorporating industry-leading trends in the overall furnishings, arrangement, and composition, the design creates a welcoming and inviting workplace for both associates and clients.

"We wanted to create a flexible design that keeps the integrity of the historic building," Dawes says. "Our showroom reflects how people work today by having both private spaces and several areas for interaction and communication."

York Street Yards, a former Army barracks that housed and distributed medical equipment for World War II, was built in 1942 with brick, steel, and cement. To accentuate these materials and create more of an open, communal setting, the team drew heavily from Teammates' collection of Teknion products to furnish workspace, lounge, cafe, and conference areas with adjustable desks and seating, architectural features, and accessories that enhance connection and collaboration.

"We included lots of breakaway areas to encourage employees to get up and move away from their desks," Dawes says.

Along with Teknion, the team incorporated products from various manufacturers, including Studio TK, Allermuir, Source International, Kimball International, Designtex, hushoffice, Ezobord, SitOnIt Seating, 9to5 Seating, Soelberg Industries, Area Environments, Fermob, Humanscale, FLOR, Milliken, Andreu World, Emeco, Color Cord, Lumens, Boss Design, Clarus, FUNC., Spinneybeck, and West Elm.
