Brightening the World! Meridian Waste Announces Its 4th Annual Children's Earth Day Contest

WENDELL, N.C. - April 22, 2023 - PRLog -- Meridian Waste, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, celebrates Earth Day with the announcement of its 4th Annual Brightening the World Children's Coloring Contest winners.  The online contest took place over the last 50 days nationwide with 162 entries received.  Three winners were placed in each age category of 5-7 and 8-10 years of age.

The winners for the 5-7 Age Category are:
  1. Weston I. from San Antonio, TX
  2. Harshitha K. from Fremont, CA
  3. Ruthie H. from Eureka, MO

The winners for the 8-10 Age Category are:
  1. Max P. from St. Louis, MO
  2. Avisha M. from Apex, NC
  3. Ansley P. from Jacksonville, FL
Earth Day is a day that was created to promote awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment and occurs each year on April 22.  By keeping the environment clean and green through proper waste management, everyone can do his or her part for the planet.
Winners will receive a rosette ribbon, a t-shirt imprinted with his or her personal winning artwork and the first-place winner will receive a garbage truck plaque engraved with his name, 1st place and Brightening the World  / Meridian Waste branding.  The three winners' artwork can be viewed at www.meridianwaste.com/earthday.

The 2024 Brightening the World Children's Coloring Contest will open again online on March 1, 2024.
