Massive Layoffs at Ramjas School Pusa Road

KAROL BAGH, India - May 11, 2023 - PRLog -- In a shocking move that has left parents, staff and alumni astounded, Ramjas School has laid off numerous dedicated employees who dedicated years to the school.

The school had recently hiked its fee by 8 percent this year. Simultaneously cutting essential teachers and staff who are backbone of school raises serious question on school managemnent.
While 2 were due to retire - Indira Saini and Raj Kr Dhingra, others like Mr. Sushil Kumar were removed. Some like Abhi Ram and Nurse Sushila Dalal were hired on contract.
The 6 Guest Teachers were used like use and throw by the school management. This is common for GTs in India.

This in the background of increasing fee substantially without transparent justification is deeply troubling. Due to COVID, families are already grappling with inflation and rising cost of living.
The school owes an explanation for practicising such unhealthy and anti student practices.

I urge the school to roll back the fee hike and reconsider the layoffs.
