PRLog -- Author and poet Howard Camner will have six of his poems which were published in the PoetsArtists arts journal sent to the moon as part of the PoetsArtists Polaris Collection aboard Griffin Mission 1 in 2024. Camner is the author of 25 books including the Pulitzer Prize-nominated "Poems from the Mud Room: Collected Works 1976-2012", "The Greatest Novel Ever Written", "Happy Birthday to…Who? The definitive no-holds-barred father's guide to surviving kids' birthday parties", and the acclaimed autobiography "Turbulence at 67 Inches". He is published extensively in numerous national and international journals and anthologies. His books and sound recordings of his work are housed in prominent literary archives worldwide including historical archives in the United States and several royal collections in Great Britain. The Emerson Archives in Boston holds the largest collection of Camner's literary works. He was a founding member of the Literary Outlaws and the West End Poetry Troupe in New York City. He was named "Best Poet in Miami" in the New Times Best of Miami edition of 2007, was nominated for Poet Laureate of Florida in 1980, was inducted into the Miami Dade College Hall of Fame for Literary Arts in 2014, and received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award for Literary Arts in 2018.
