Our Latest Delivery To The St. James Parish Sheriff's Office Special Response Team (SRT)

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - May 10, 2023 - PRLog -- The St. James Parish Sherriff's Office is adding the Ocean Craft Marine 8M Law Enforcement (LE) Interceptor Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) to their assortment of patrol craft in order augment their riverine capabilities with the latest in high-performance hull designs. The Sheriff Office will utilize the advanced performance capabilities of their new boat to increase the effectiveness and timeliness of their response to domestic incidents, counter-narcotics operations and natural disasters.

Ocean Craft Marine's 8M Law Enforcement (LE) Interceptor represents the latest innovations in high-performance RHIB hull design and incorporates all of the elements most desired by our maritime law enforcement community to include: a military-grade Hypalon pneumatic tube-set, a T-top with integrated electronics mast, fore and aft tow posts, and an aft a-frame with an integrated outboard motor guard.

The new boat's on-water performance is truly remarkable with an incredible lightning quick hole-shot and time-on-plane, and with very predictable sea keeping characteristics and the ability to carve amazingly tight high-speed tactical turns due to Ocean Craft Marine's advanced concave reverse-chine design Air-Hull®.

The members of the Sheriff's Office Special Response Team unanimously agreed that they had never before operated a boat with such high-performance characteristics, and that the OCM RHIB will greatly increase their ability to safely and effectively complete their missions both within their home Parish as well as with their many mutual-aid responses into neighboring jurisdictions.
