SWENSON receives entitlements for 276-unit mixed-use development

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - May 31, 2023 - PRLog -- SWENSON, a leading Northern California real estate development company, announced the Santa Cruz City Council approved its application for entitlements on a mixed-use development at 530 Front Street in Santa Cruz. Located on the corner of Front Street and Soquel Avenue, the gateway to downtown Santa Cruz and Santa Cruz Riverwalk along the levee, development in this area is on the precipice of transforming downtown Santa Cruz through vibrant community spaces for living, recreation, tourism, and nightlife.

This 8-story, 276-unit development will be a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units—including 37 below market rate units—with over close to 7,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space that will include both retail and a public restaurant overlooking the river. Along with featured amenities including a fitness center, storage units with bike storage, a dog washing station, a game room/lounge/kitchen, and a rooftop deck and two private courtyards, the development will also offer public Amphitheater seating and access to the highly anticipated, new Santa Cruz Riverwalk.
