What the Future Holds for the Haitian American Community in South Florida

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - July 11, 2023 - PRLog -- The Haitian American Chamber of Commerce (HAAMMC) hosted a free meeting and community roundtable on June 27 at its headquarters featuring the topic of The Future of the Haitian American Community in Broward County, Florida - How to Thrive, Not Just Survive.

The member and guest event was also open to the public and included discussions about opening a Welcome Center, capacity building for Human Services and how to best disseminate information to the Haitian Community in Broward County and throughout South Florida. Potential funding opportunities to strengthen local businesses and citizens were also covered.

The esteemed panelists included Dean Trantalis, City of Fort Lauderdale Mayor; District 105 Florida House of Representatives Marie Paule Woodson (D); and Keith D. Bostick, Deputy Director at Broward County Health and Human Services.

"The Haitian American Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to its members and helps to inform businesses and residents about many topics for a diverse group of industries, people, and interests," said the Vice President of the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce, Djenane Gourgue.
