Thomas N. Tillery to Present PFS Live! Event in San Mateo, CA August 17 and 18, 2023

ATLANTA - July 26, 2023 - PRLog -- Thomas N. Tillery, CFP^®, AEP^® (Distinguished), CLU^®, ChFC^®, CRPC^®, LUTCF, Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of Paraklete® Financial, Inc. will present PFSLive! This live workshop is sponsored by Avantax Planning Partners℠ and provides a streamlined approach to obtaining the PFS credential. The 2-day event will be held at Franklin Templeton in San Mateo, California. The first session, PFP Body of Knowledge Overview, on Thursday, August 17th will provide an overview of each component of the PFP Body of Knowledge. Tom will review specific case studies to enhance practical application of the elements in the first session. Two case study sessions on Thursday will follow with sequential sessions on Friday, August 18th. The event will conclude with an on-site PFS exam.

With more than 35 years of experience in personal financial planning, Tom is a frequent speaker and author on topics relating to personal financial planning including, Financial Planning and Tax Advisory Services, Estate Planning for the Affluent, Current Retirement Issues, Working with Investment Advisors, and Stewardship. Mr. Tillery is the co-author of Essentials of Personal Financial Planning, a textbook used by colleges and universities in graduate programs in accounting, business, and law. Additionally, Tom has co-authored The AICPA Financial Planning Certificate Program. The program addresses all areas of the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) Body of Knowledge and successful completion, with related experience, permits participants to obtain the PFS Credential.
