A Buzzing Success! Unique Fundraiser Supports Hope Spring's Clean Water Advocacy

HEREFORD, U.K. - July 31, 2023 - PRLog -- A unique and thrilling fundraiser was held in support of Hope Spring, a clean water advocacy charity https://www.hopespring.org.uk/, on Friday 28th July 2023. Held at The Hive in Much Birch village in south Herefordshire, the workshop was devised by Worcestershire natural beekeeper Sara Steward and facilitated by Hope Spring trustee and experienced beekeeper Temi Odurinde alongside Andrew Collinson.

The event provided an opportunity for the six natural beekeepers to share their perspectives on different elements of beekeeping from helping newbies select a bee-friendly hive to catching a swarm. Starting off the workshop, Andrew Collison spoke about "The Bein of the Hive," focusing on a holistic view of a colony of bees. After lunch break, he revisited topics such as swarm catching, treating varroa mite and identifying suitable shrubs and trees for bees.

The workshop was a success and we all went home better beekeepers. Hope Spring is grateful for the £300 raised; these funds will go towards our Agege borehole project in Nigeria. Temi Odurinde emphasized his pleasure at being able to contribute to the fundraiser in his own way.

Additionally, they had a one-time natural beekeeping fundraiser but have not eliminated the possibility of collaborating with that community in the future.
