Subaru of Indiana Automotive announces supplier award winners

LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Aug. 3, 2023 - PRLog -- Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) has recognized 35 suppliers for exceptional performance over the past year.

"With overall supply chain conditions and production levels stabilized, this is a fitting time to recognize these suppliers that have distinguished themselves by providing exemplary quality and delivery," said Scott Brand, executive vice president at SIA.

Winners were recognized across four categories:

Special Recognition – Above and beyond effort as identified by SIA management
Commodity Leader – Top scoring supplier in commodity category
Excellent Performance – Achievement of SIA targets for safety, quality, cost and delivery
Superior Excellent Performance – Three and four consecutive years as recipient of the Excellent Performance Award

Seven companies had the distinction of receiving two awards, while Moriden America was the only company to receive three awards. Recipients were honored during a ceremony on Aug. 2.

"It's great to know our suppliers share the vision and quality commitment that Subaru customers count on," said Brand. "Of our nearly 260 suppliers, these 35 have demonstrated the tremendous dedication required to achieve such recognition."

SIA is Subaru's only manufacturing facility outside of Japan and currently makes the Ascent, Crosstrek, Legacy and Outback models for North America. Since beginning production in 1989, more than 7 million vehicles have been built. The following is the complete list of winners:
