JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Aug. 14, 2023 - PRLog -- The Jacksonville Jaguars were flagged 13 times for 86 yards in their 28-23 preseason win over the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday.

"Yeah, with 13 penalties, I think it's obviously something we've talked about," head coach Doug Pederson said after the game. "I've talked about it with the team. In these preseason games, especially when you're playing a lot of guys, things are going to happen, but it's something we have to clean up."

Three of the penalties were false starts.

"It's really a discipline thing. It'll start with me this week in practice, and make sure that our guys understand the either pre-snap or post-snap, that just can't happen," added Pederson.

Jaguars Make Roster Moves

Jacksonville signed offensive lineman Bobby Evans and Carson Tinker, while offensive lineman Ben Bartch has passed his physical and returned from the Active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list to the active roster. Jacksonville placed defensive lineman Henry Mondeaux on the Reserve/Injured list. The club has placed tight end Sammis Reyes on the reserve/retired list.

Bartch has played in 33 games with 17 starts since being selected in the fourth round (116th overall) by Jacksonville in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Tinker began his NFL career in 2013 after signing with Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent. Since then, he has played in 95 games and spent time with the New York Giants, Tampa Bay, Las Vegas, Los Angeles Rams, and Seattle.

The Murfreesboro, Tenn. native played collegiately at the University of Alabama where he played in 25 games (2010-11). In Tinker's final season in 2011, he was a member of the Crimson Tide team that won the 2011 CFP National Championship.

Evans began his NFL career in 2019 after being drafted in the third round (97th overall) by the Los Angeles Rams. During his four seasons with the Rams (2019-22), Evans played in 35 games with 12 starts and was a member of the Rams team that won Super Bowl LVI in his second season in the NFL.

The Allen, Texas native played collegiately at the University of Oklahoma where he started all 40 games he played in (2015-18).
