The safe and fun outdoor Halloween evening events feature treats and surprises

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Aug. 31, 2023 - PRLog -- Wonder Gardens will host "Halloween Nights in the Gardens" every Thursday and Saturday in October (except Oct. 21). The nighttime events will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 26 and 28. To accommodate more people, the series of events replace WonderWeen, a popular one-day event held for two years.

As in previous years, Wonder Gardens will also join with zoos, animal-lovers, and thoughtful consumers nationwide by choosing Halloween candy brands that support sustainable palm oil production and distribution.

"Fun decorations, special animal enrichment programs, family games, activities and more are planned for our Halloween Nights," said Sarah Williamson, retail and communications manager. "Part of our mission is conservation and education. A lot of candy contains palm oil, and some of the palm oil industry has caused a major crisis for rainforests and critically endangered species around the world."

The event provides a unique opportunity for guests to visit the garden in the evening, when it is typically not open, to explore the lushly landscaped botanical gardens and interact with more than 300 rescued, rehabilitated and non-releasable birds and reptiles.

Costumes are optional but encouraged, and the event is free to Wonder Gardens members. Other guests will pay regular admission, which is free for children under age 3, $7 for ages 3 to 12, $12 for ages 13-64 and $10 for ages 65+. Discounted admission is available to the military and first responders. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
