Chemical Engineer's Debut Novel Wins Plaudits from Sci-Fi Best-Selling Author

HORNCASTLE, U.K. - Sept. 4, 2023 - PRLog -- A Suggestion in Space, the debut novel from Alan R Paine, has been classed as an "epic interstellar adventure" by best-selling science-fiction novelist, Drew Wagar.

Alan R Paine, a chemical engineer in the edible oil processing industry, has brought his scientific expertise to the forefront in crafting a science-fiction narrative that is both plausible and engrossing. His unique background has made him somewhat of a novelty at work conferences, where he is known as the Chemical Engineer who Writes Science Fiction.

"It has taken 14 years from the day I started writing this book in 2009 to its official launch in 2023," says Alan, reflecting on the journey to bring A Suggestion in Space to fruition. "It's a long journey and a long time, but nowhere near as long as the journey my characters have to make."
