Day 1 - Cochin - Thettakad
You'll be met on arrival at Cochin airport and make the short drive- 30km or so- to Thettakad. If you've arrived in the morning then there will be time today for kayaking on the Periyar River. Overnight at Hornbill Camp Thettakad

Day 2 - Thettakad - Cochin
If you're happy to start your day at first light, then a visit to Thettakad bird sanctuary where around 270 species of migratory and resident birds can be found is a must. After breakfast, head off on a day's cycling through the country side with your guide. Later drive into Fort Cochin. Overnight in Fort Cochin.

Day 3 - Cochin - Alleppey
Morning in historic Fort Cochin with a short sightseeing tour, then after lunch drive 2 hours or so to Alleppey, where you'll stay on the fringes of the backwaters. Remainder of the day at leisure for a backwater tour by canoe or perhaps an invigorating Ayurvedic massage. Overnight near Alleppey

Day 4 - Alleppey
A relaxing morning around your homestay/resort, before your houseboat reports soon after midday. Spend the afternoon cruising the scenic backwaters with lunch and dinner cooked on board by your crew. Overnight on the houseboat.

Day 5 - Alleppey - Cochin
After breakfast, disembark the houseboat at Alleppey jetty- head into Alleppey town and visit the beach, then later, in accordance with your departure schedule, drive 2.5 hours or so to Cochin airport and depart.
