PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Oct. 11, 2023 - PRLog -- The Michigan Philharmonic will make its return to downtown Northville this month for the annual "Phright Night" concert, blending hauntingly good music from movies and more.

The performance is planned for Saturday, Oct. 21 beginning at 7:30 p.m. and will feature the music of Danny Elfman, John Williams, Hans Zimmer and J.S. Bach as well as a "time warp" from movies like "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," "Jaws," and the "Corpse Bride."

Geff Philips, a well-known performer and vocalist, will provide narration and vocals during the evening, and expect a sing-along during "Monster Mash."

Some of the selections will include "Toccata in D Minor" by Bach, "Witch's Ride" (from "Hanzel and Gretel"), "Danse Macabre" by Camille Saint-Saens, "The Witches of Eastwick" and the theme from "Jaws" by Williams and "Kernkraft 400 Zombie Nation" by Florian Senfter.

Everyone is encouraged to wear costumes, and fans will want to watch for what new costume Phil conductor Nan Washburn will unveil – a tradition she began many years ago at the Phil's first Halloween concert.  There will be a cash bar and concessions – including popcorn for sale.

Tickets for the opening night are available at the Philharmonic's website: michiganphil.org. For information, contact (734) 451-2112.  But hurry, tickets are selling fast.
