"Each year, I'm astonished by the unwavering dedication to community service and professional excellence that our Heroines display. This year's event raised $510,000 to fund programs, research, community services, education and advocacy that support the March of Dimes mission — to lead the fight for the health and wellness of all mothers and babies. Since 2001, the Heroines of Washington Awards have raised over $4.9 million and honored 151 Heroines. To celebrate the finalists and award recipients, the March of Dimes Heroines of Washington Awards gala took place on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner. This year's gala sponsors were ASRC Federal, ManTech, PwC, MITRE, M&T Bank, Carahsoft, KPMG, Guidehouse, GDIT and iHeartRadio. The gala's attendees included leaders from local businesses, nonprofit organizations and government institutions.
