March of Dimes Announces Winners for 24th Annual Heroines of Washington Awards

ARLINGTON, Va. - Nov. 8, 2024 - PRLog -- Last night, March of Dimes announced the winners for its 24th annual Heroines of Washington Awards, which celebrates professional women in the D.C. metropolitan area for their exceptional volunteer work.

The 2024 Heroines of Washington Award winners are:

Corporate Heroine — Julie A. Smith, The Bozutto Group

Healthcare Heroine — Jacklyn Wynn, GDIT

Lifetime Achievement Heroine — Amita Vyas, The George Washington University

Professional Services Heroine — Dayana Vilanueva, M&T Bank

Public Sector Heroine — Pam Promisel, George Mason University

Real Estate Heroine — Nicole Miller, Savills

Rising Star Heroine — Bailey Fellinger, ServiceNow

Technology Heroine — Brittany Willson, CMA Technology, Inc.

"This year's Heroines of Washington Awards gala was a triumphant success thanks to all the attendees, sponsors, and, of course, our inspiring Heroines," said Diane Nguyen, chief financial officer at Microsoft Federal and co-chair for this year's event. "The breadth and depth of their volunteer work is astounding, and we're proud to host an event that showcases their meaningful service to our community."

The March of Dimes Heroines of Washington Awards gala took place on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner to celebrate the finalists and award recipients.

This year's event raised $564,000 to fund research, education and advocacy that support the March of Dimes mission — to lead the fight for the health of all mothers and babies. Since 2001, the Heroines of Washington Awards have raised over $5.5 million and honored 166 Heroines.
