ANDOVER, Mass. - Nov. 9, 2023 - PRLog -- The distinguished Music at Christ Church Concert Series presents Ensemble Aubade (Peter H. Bloom, flute and alto flute; Francis Grimes, viola; and Steven Sussman, piano) performing Old World, New World Soundscapes.  Aubade has been praised for "intensity, imagination, skill, and finesse" (St. Lawrence University, New York).  The acclaimed trio will take the audience on a fascinating tour, from the salons of Vienna and Paris to the concert halls of New York, spanning many styles and centuries. Wide-ranging repertoire will include Trio K. 498 (Kegelstatt) by Mozart, with Bloom on alto flute; Trio Opus 45 (1856), by the great 19th century composer Louise Farrenc; Concertino for Flute, Viola, Piano (1950) by Ernest Bloch; and Seven Postcards to Old Friends (1966), an exuberant chamber work by the legendary Broadway arranger Robert Russell Bennett.  Aubade is based in Boston and performs across the United States, captivating audiences with their virtuosity, versatility, and electrifying performances.
