Meals on Wheels South Florida Celebrates 35th Annual Thanksgiving Home Meal Delivery Program

PLANTATION, Fla. - Nov. 21, 2023 - PRLog -- Now more than ever, our seniors need nutritious meals, safety checks, and friendly visits from their caring neighbors. Thanks to the generosity of supporters like UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group), Cigna Healthcare, Greentree Financial Group, Inc., SSP America and New York Life, Meals on Wheels South Florida and their dedicated team of volunteers will deliver nearly 300 hot Thanksgiving meals to homebound seniors on Thursday, November 23, 2023.

Who:     Meals on Wheels South Florida staff and volunteers visit clients on Thanksgiving morning and present them with a hot turkey meal with all the trimmings, homemade placemats, and a friendly holiday hello. Clients will also receive personal care and snack kits courtesy of SSP America.

What:    These meals are delivered to Meals on Wheels South Florida's senior clients who are homebound and alone without family to visit them for Thanksgiving. The meal box includes roasted turkey, stuffing, seasonal vegetables, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls, and pumpkin pie.
