Dr. Lauren Anderson Has Just Presented A CE Course Called Zirconia Implants Prosthodontics Workshop!

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. - Dec. 13, 2023 - PRLog -- At the Anderson Periodontal Wellness office in Bloomfield Hills, MI, on October 23, 2023, Dr. Lauren Anderson presented a 3 hour long continuing education course called the Zirconia Implants Prosthodontics Workshop. The key speaker at the conference was Dr. Tobias Steinherr M. Sc., a renowned expert in ceramic based zirconia dental  implants. Dr. Tobias Steinherr flew in from the SWISS BIOHEALTH CLINIC in Switzerland to speak at the CE course.

The prosthetics workshop, worth 3 CE credits, discussed many topics surrounding the materials, designs, and the strategic preparement and placement of zirconia dental implants. During the workshop, participants also prepared round and oval all-zirconia implants and abutments in models.

The specific educational objectives of the course are as follows:

• Learning treatment planning for prosthetics placed on zirconia implants
• Creating proper aesthetics with zirconia implants
• The types of cements, crowns, and temporary materials, indications and contraindications
• How to prepare the shoulder and abutment post
• Creating temporaries and bridges
• What your dental lab should know
• How to avoid restorative failures      

Dr. Anderson believes that part of the learning process is being able to train others. By hosting this workshop with fellow specialists, she can deliver better results to patients that require dental implants.
