Syntec Vietnam Successfully Develop a 5-axis CNC Machine Locally

An Khang CNC and Syntec Vietnam joined forces to introduce a locally manufactured 5-axis CNC machine, addressing customers' concerns about imported alternatives.

HSINCHU, Taiwan - Jan. 5, 2024 - PRLog -- Vietnam is experiencing robust growth in high technology, particularly in the increasing demand for 5-axis CNC machines. Traditionally, these machines were imported directly from countries like Japan, Germany, Taiwan, and China. However, users of 5-axis CNC machines often face concerns regarding after-sales service and pricing when relying on imported machinery. They seek a domestic manufacturer capable of delivering competitive pricing and reliable after-sales support. Despite its inherent potential, Vietnam's machine manufacturing industry hasn't fully matched this demand due to technological limitations. Recognizing this market need, An Khang CNC and Syntec joined forces to introduce a locally manufactured 5-axis CNC machine, addressing customers' concerns about imported alternatives.

The machine undergoes a meticulous process, starting with its design and simulation on specialized 3D software, ensuring optimal calculations from the outset. The machine body is then meticulously crafted, undergoing molding, heat treatment, and normalization in adherence to industrial standards. Following this, it's loaded onto a precision machining double column milling machine, employing rigorously tested industrial components sourced from the market.

The Syntec 220MA-5 5-axis operating system boasts a 15-inch screen, 1 GB Dram, and 4GB internal memory, enabling simultaneous 5-axis control with a processing capacity of 4000 commands per second. It has the capability to control up to 16 axes simultaneously and supports Mechatrolink 3 and EtherCAT communication. This advanced system offers numerous features including programming on inclined planes, RTCP (Rotary Tool Center Point), smooth function, friction compensation through learning, automatic braking of axes when stationary, a multi 5-axis kinematic chain, and anti-collision technology.

The machine integrates TC-52 and Z-Nano hardware from the German company BLUM for measuring both workpieces and tools. It combines this hardware with the 'Icheck Function,' a feature developed by Syntec. This feature empowers CNC machines to autonomously measure, assess, and fine-tune product accuracy during the machining process, significantly elevating product quality and precision. Additionally, the machine incorporates Hydex's 4.5 axis (A, C axis), simplifying the machining of intricately shaped parts that demand exceptional precision.

The successful production of 5-axis CNC machines not only reflects An Khang CNC's confidence in Syntec's products and services but also signifies a significant leap forward. It stands as a positive indication that Vietnam has the potential for self-reliance in manufacturing CNC machines to meet domestic demands, thereby contributing to comprehensive development and global integration.
