By: Pulse CPSEA The course will be held in person in Plainview, Long Island, NY. All are welcome — from Board-Certified Patient Advocates (BCPA), who will receive 14 CEs for attending, to individuals just wanting to support their families in getting safer medical care. "Medical error is the third-highest cause of premature death in this country," says Pulse President Ilene Corina, BCPA, "but there are many things we can do to reduce the risks and get better outcomes from our care. Those attending the course will learn how to do that." Participants will learn about the types of medical errors, ways of communicating with medical providers, navigating the healthcare system, recognizing and countering bias, and much more.
