Southern Ocean Chamber Legacy Honored at 110th Breakfast

One of New Jersey's top chambers recognized for over a century of continued service during their Annual Chamber Breakfast

MANAHAWKIN, N.J. - Jan. 23, 2024 - PRLog -- On January 16, members and supporters of the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce braved the first snow in several years to gather for the 110th Annual Chamber Breakfast at the Mainland in Manahawkin.  The area's largest business meeting of the year, attendees networked and heard from a list of distinguished speakers including  Ocean County  Commissioner Frank Sadeghi, who was recently sworn in to a three year term; Ocean County Business & Tourism Director Sandra Lazzaro. Stafford Township Borough Administrator Matthew von der Hayden and District 9 Assemblyman Brian Rumpf addressed the group as well as presented proclamations recognizing the organization founding in 1914.

Lori Pepenella, CEO introduced the chamber's 49th President Mr Jerry Thompson of the VanDyk Group, thanking past and current board of directors for their volunteerism and leadership.  With new focus and initiatives, the organization welcomes in the 2024 Board of Directors, including the new slate of  officers President Jerry Thompson, The Van Dyk Group (https://www.vandykgroup.com/), Vice President Elizabeth Giglio Barlow, GMC (https://www.barlowbuickgmc.com/), Second Vice President Carol Holmes, HVI (https://healthvillageimaging.com/), and Treasurer Andrea Driscoll  of The Sandpaper (https://www.thesandpaper.net/). New Directors Michele Morrison of HMH Southern Ocean Medical Center, Ashley Strac of Health Village Imaging, Christina Ping Residence of Stafford and Danielle Roselli Manasquan Bank will join reappointed board members Lori Pepenella, CEO, Michele Cuff, CFO, Michele Collins- Davies Stockton University, Marie Daley Beasley Media Group, Tanek Hood, Reynolds Landscaping,  Laura Benson of Berry , Saharadnik, Benson, and JB Maschal of Country Kettle.The program will also provide  details of the financial benefits of on location film projects  from Elizabeth Parchment, Director of Marketing  of the NJ Motion Picture & Television Commission which falls under the New Jersey Department of State's Business Action Center.  Representatives from Stafford Township will be recognizing the achievement and the importance to the start of their 110th anniversary.
