US Patent Issued for Virtual Reality Technology for Detecting Eye Disease

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Jan. 24, 2024 - PRLog -- Ceeable, Inc. has received a United States patent (#11,684,256) for a virtual reality technology used to diagnose blinding eye diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration. The patented technology is termed VORP for "Virtual Opportunistic Reaction Perimetry (VORP)". The VORP technology is a VR-based digital health solution for detecting and diagnosing eye disease that, as opposed to standard automated perimetry, does not require patient fixation nor active patient feedback. The VORP technology will form the basis of new developments in automated objective perimetry.
