By: SGS The State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (PRC) issued product standard GB/T 43587-2023 on December 28, 2023. This is a completely new standard, and it applies to boots intended for general use by older people. SafeGuardS 047.24 provides a useful summary of the main technical requirements in GB/T 43587-2023. These include requirements relating to, inter alia, labeling, appearance quality, effective heal height, peeling strength, flexing resistance, adhesion strength, outsole hardness and insulation.
