Meridian Waste's Shotwell Environmental Park to host The Greenest Show On Earth on April 20

RALEIGH, N.C. - March 28, 2024 - PRLog -- Meridian Waste North Carolina LLC,  an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, is pleased to announce the company's upcoming free community event to be held on Saturday, April 20 from 10 am until 2 pm at Shotwell Environmental Park, 4624 Smithfield Road in Wendell, NC.  The newly themed event, The Greenest Show on Earth, invites neighbors and community members to learn about Earth Day, tour the disposal facility via hayrides, and enjoy a fun-filled day of free food, face painting, carnival-inspired inflatables, crafts, and family fun activities. Additionally, gardeners of all levels and expertise are invited to attend the Ask the Gardeners session about gardening, the best season to plant tomatoes, and how to utilize home-grown compost in flower and vegetables beds, among others. Rufus Edmisten and Mike Raley of the Weekend Gardener radio show will be in attendance from 12 pm until 1:30 pm to help participants with their gardening challenges.
