Follow on Google News | Calling All Artists – Two Opportunities to Exhibit at The Center This SummerThe Center's Members' Non-Juried Exhibition is an opportunity for all members of The Center (ages 18+) to enter two- and three-dimensional work in all media including, painting, printmaking, charcoal, ink, graphite, pastel, fiber, photography, mixed media, ceramics, and more. Not a member of The Center? Entrants are welcome to join The Center and enter at the same time. Each artist can enter one piece that will be included in the exhibition. Awards will be given for the Sally Bush Memorial Award – Best of Show ($250); Ceramics Award of Excellence ($250); Raritan Valley Arts Association Award of Excellence ($100); and three Honorable Mentions. The judge is Timothy O'Connor, Executive Director of the duCret Center of Art. Deadline for entries is May 13. We invite all young artists, ages 13-17, to enter our exhibition, The Next Generation: An Exhibition of Teen Artists. This opportunity provides teens a professional exhibition to showcase their 2D or 3D works of art, as well as experience for their art portfolio. Membership to The Center is not required to participate. All teens can enter one piece that will be included in the exhibition. Judge Timothy O'Connor, Executive Director of the duCret Center of Art, will award Best of Show ($50) and two Honorable Mentions. Deadline for entries is May 26. Timothy O'Connor is the Executive Director of the duCret Center of Art in Plainfield, NJ; duCret is the oldest art school in New Jersey, founded in 1926.
