NFTE Hosts CareerLink Japan Representatives at Environmental Charter High School in California

LAWNDALE, Calif. - May 8, 2024 - PRLog -- Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), a global nonprofit that envisions equitable access to entrepreneurship education worldwide, recently hosted representatives from CareerLink Japan at Environmental Charter High School (ECHS) in Lawndale, California. During the May 7 visit, Mari Asano and Maki Wakae explored various aspects of the school, including water collection, a pineapple-filled greenhouse, compost demonstrations, and the horticulture program's fruit trees. They learned about the gardening club's innovative use of campus waste for compost soil and discussed how ECHS successfully provides entrepreneurship programming alongside environmental science and related subjects. The ECHS team conducting the tour included Eddie Cortes of Campus Support, NFTE & ECHS teacher Brandie Davis, and Afterschool Coordinator Natalia Arnold. They were joined by Max Rusike-Griffith, Program Director for NFTE's West Region.
