Tony Oss honored with 2024 Life Saver Award

LA PORTE, Ind. - May 10, 2024 - PRLog -- Larson-Danielson Construction and Facet Architecture are proud to announce that Anthony "Tony" Oss was honored with the prestigious Life Saver Award at the CAF/NWIBRT Awards Banquet on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

In addition to his professional role as director of pre-construction and design services at Larson-Danielson and Facet Architecture, Tony serves as the linebackers coach for the La Porte High School Slicers football team, demonstrating his dedication to both his profession and community.

The award recognizes Tony's heroic and quick-thinking actions on July 18, 2023, while with the La Porte Slicers at Trine. During this time, he provided life-saving efforts to a man in cardiac arrest, who had a 100% blockage in his heart. Thanks to Tony's rapid response, coupled with the efforts of the athletic trainer for Trine and first responders in Angola, the man's life was saved.

Tony's swift and decisive actions that day illustrate his professional training and personal courage. His actions underscore the critical importance of first aid skills and serve as an inspiring reminder of selfless bravery.

Following this event, Tony was awarded a Letter of Commendation for his heroic and life-saving actions by the La Porte County Sheriff's Office on July 26, 2023.
