Larson-Danielson Construction, Facet Architecture celebrate 2024 Excellence in Construction Awards

LA PORTE, Ind. - May 29, 2024 - PRLog -- Larson-Danielson Construction has been honored with 2024 Excellence in Construction Awards for two outstanding projects: the Grand Reading Room in South Bend, IN, and Drift on Pine in La Porte, IN.

Larson-Danielson was the general contractor for the Beth & Lou Holtz Family Grand Reading Room renovation in Hesburgh Library at the University of Notre Dame. The 20,000 sq. ft., two-story space now features over 250 table seats for individual study, seating around an enclosed fireplace, and a new stairwell that enhances accessibility and flow. Natural light and a 100-pendant light installation in the new atrium create a warm and inviting atmosphere, while walls of windows offer panoramic views of the west campus.

This project showcases Larson-Danielson's dedication to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Working closely with university officials, architects, and subcontractors, the project team ensured that every element of the renovation met the high standards of the University of Notre Dame. Drift on Pine, the second award-winning project, showcases Larson-Danielson's structural contracting expertise as well as the architectural ability of Facet Architecture. This 8,000 sq. ft., three-story restaurant and bar is a vibrant addition to La Porte, IN. It offers a unique dining experience with versatile spaces that cater to various occasions. From family dining areas that create a welcoming atmosphere for gatherings to a large patio with a cozy fire pit for cool evenings, Drift on Pine has it all.

The restaurant features two rooftop areas and three distinctive bars, each with its own charm, offering magnificent views of Pine Lake.
