CFO Colleague Appoints Championship Coach Steve Brooks to Lead Athletics Optimization Practice

INDIANAPOLIS - June 6, 2024 - PRLog -- CFO Colleague is pleased to announce the engagement of Coach Steve Brooks as Practice Leader for its Athletics Optimization division.  He begins his work with clients July 1, 2024.

Brooks has served in a variety of successful roles among NAIA schools over a coaching and athletic administration career spanning three decades. As Head Women's Basketball Coach at Indiana Wesleyan University  (IN), he led the team to two NAIA national championships and one NCCAA tournament championship during his tenure.  Brooks has also coached the women's teams at St. Francis University (IL) and Marian University (IN), retiring earlier this year. His career generated numerous Coach of the Year honors and a variety of other exemplary awards.

His record in women's basketball is 659-176, with a 33-2 outcome for his final season at Marian.  Added to these accomplishments is service at his alma mater, Taylor University (IN) and head men's coach at Houghton University (NY), along with assignments as assistant athletic director and AD at Taylor. https://cfocolleague.com/insights/team/steve-brooks/

Steve Brooks, with his extensive coaching and athletic administration experience, will spearhead the Athletics Optimization division. He will be joined by Jan M. Haas, Senior Partner. Haas has served CFO Colleague for eight years and was head baseball coach at Cairn University (PA), along with service as CFO for Cairn. In his practice, he has served nearly 100 colleges and universities.

CFO Colleague's Athletics Optimization division will assess the operational and financial performance of athletic programs, recommending areas of opportunity where investment is merited and where resources can be reduced. Our experts will work closely with athletic directors in the assessment process and gather critical data to identify areas of great promise.  The goal is a winning program for student athletes, coaches, fans and the University as a whole.
