Follow on Google News | Lawrence Alexander Homes to Break Ground on "Building for a CURE" Home in Effingham County"Every child deserves the chance to build a promising future," says Alex Long, owner of Lawrence Alexander Homes. "We're honored to support CURE Childhood Cancer with this innovative project. By building this home, we hope to not only provide a beautiful space for a deserving family but also raise significant funds to support critical research and programs that benefit children battling cancer." CURE Childhood Cancer is a Georgia-based nonprofit dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through targeted research and supporting patients and their families. Since its founding in 1975, CURE has dedicated over $38 million to research projects focused on curing childhood cancers. "This is an incredibly generous act by Lawrence Alexander Homes," says Jenny Wilkins, Development Director of Events for CURE Childhood Cancer. "The funds raised from the sale of this house will directly impact the lives of local children fighting cancer and their families. We're hopeful that this project will be the first of many to come." In an effort to minimize expenses, CURE is enlisting partners for all parts of the building project to donate or offer discounts on materials and labor.
