Skipper Wants Good Fer Us, Not Harm — Believe in His Word and Enjoy Rest for Yer Weary Bones

PIRATE'S COVE, TORTUGA, Haiti - June 21, 2024 - PRLog -- Ahoy, mates! Skipper be wantin' good fer us, not harm, but we must believe his word. In His Code of Conduct Skipper tells of how some whar promised a fine land but they didn't trust in his goodness. They claimed Skip wanted bad fer 'em. As such they ne'er made port and whar destined ter wander 'till they dropped dead.

This be what Jude means when he explains how Skipper saved His people out of the land of harsh livin', but afterward destroyed all who did not believe (Jude 5). Without faith it be impossible ter please Skip, ye may lay ter that (Hebrews 11:6). Worse, He calls those who doubt that He's a good skipper disobedient and mutinous rebels. Such rascals 'ill ne'er enter His rest.

Fer us who believe, though, thar be a different fate. We who have Skip's faith enter His rest ever' time we trust in Him. Skipper calls us ter walk the ancient paths and find refreshment fer our souls. The Son says, "Come ter me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give ye rest. Take me yoke upon ye, and learn from me, fer I am gentle and lowly in heart, and ye will find rest fer yer souls."

Well ye know that old funeral line, "The Lord is my skipper, I don' want fer a thing. He makes me lie down in me bunk. He refreshes me soul. He leads me across calm seas."

We need only be still and believe that Skipper wants ter fights fer us. Raise yer hopes and lift yer hearts. Stretch out yer hand over yer troubles and move on. Skipper stands between us and our enemies. We 'ill see His power at work if we trust in Him.

If we doubt and complain, we'll never enter His rest. But if we 'ill believe His words ter be true, He'll lead us ter blessings and healing, provision and abundance. Do not stir up a mutinous spirt. Instead, trust that Skipper wants good fer ye.

Believe Skip, mate, and find rest fer yer weary soul.
