In a letter penned by La'Nardo Myrick II and his father, La'Nardo Myrick Sr., the family highlights the extraordinary efforts of the Brookside staff:

• Ms. T (Barrett) for her tough but effective teaching methods.
• Nurse Doss for her care during times of illness.
• Mr. Ryan Blake, Mrs. Irvin, Coach Williams, and Coach Witt for their warm welcomes and ongoing support.

The Myrick family also acknowledges the significant contributions of Ms. Burnett, Mrs. Tyman-Brown, Mr. Alford (for Jeanne), Ms. Hallberg (for La'Shonda), and Ms. Shampayne Mitchell (for Krishan).
