P2P Transport: A decade of fleet optimization using Frotcom

July 9, 2024 - PRLog -- P2P Transport is a Slovenian company specializing in light bulk cargo road transport, operating in Austria, Germany, and Italy with a fleet of 31 vans and trucks equipped with Frotcom.

P2P Transport ensures its customers know where their cargo is at all times, locating it with the latest GPS devices and contacting the drivers along the way. All company vehicles are EURO5 and EURO6, and the company renews them every two years to uphold high-efficiency standards and environmental responsibility.

After successfully implementing Frotcom - 10 years ago - they recently needed to update its fleet management system to stay ahead of the competition. This time, it presented Frotcom with new challenges:

- Difficulty in remotely accessing essential data, such as DDD files* for tachographs and driver cards;
- Little control over the temperature range and door status of their refrigerated trailers.

Adding new Frotcom features, including Route planning and monitoring and Remote tachograph download, has significantly enhanced operational efficiency at P2P Transport. These features have improved route planning and facilitated remote access to crucial data supplied by Frotcom, further optimizing the company's fleet management processes.

P2P Transport has also started using Frotcom's Fleet alarms and Vehicle access control system to monitor refrigerated trailers' temperature range and door status, significantly improving its monitoring capabilities. Additionally, they now benefit from access to detailed reports, allowing them to identify areas for improvement and optimize their operations further.

Moreover, the company significantly reduced its fleet's fuel costs by using Frotcom's Fuel management module.

P2P Transport can continuously monitor the whereabouts of its cargo and provide tracking tickets to its customers to track their goods in real-time. Frotcom also allows P2P to guarantee hourly accurate estimated time of arrival (ETA) of shipments to their destination, thereby improving customer service and overall satisfaction.
