WASHINGTON - July 10, 2024 - PRLog -- WORxK Solutions, LLC proudly announces Tekedra Johnson and Latrea Russ as two of the distinguished speakers for its upcoming DEIA Round Table Series event. Scheduled for July 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM EST, the event will focus on "Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges: Fostering Inclusive Communities for People with Disabilities."

Tekedra Johnson, a Houston, TX native and graduate of Southern University A&M in Baton Rouge, LA, brings a wealth of experience in therapeutic recreation and special education to the panel. Beginning her career in recreational therapy, Tekedra transitioned to teaching special education in 2015, where she gained insights into the complexities of educational disabilities and the importance of inclusive practices. Currently, she operates a private practice and ministry as a Christian counselor, aiming to support marginalized communities, including the homeless and victims of human trafficking.

Latrea Russ, originally from PG County, MD, overcame significant personal challenges to become a Disabilities Empowerment coach, motivational speaker, and published author. Born with Pfeiffer Syndrome and enduring numerous surgeries, Latrea has dedicated her career to advocating for disability rights and empowering individuals through her coaching and writings. Her book, "Intimate Conversations with God," and radio show, "Dreaming Beyond Your Disability," highlight critical issues within the disabled community and inspire others to overcome obstacles.

Hosted by Dr. Kristy Taylor, Social Impact Career Coach, and Dr. Kirk Adams, Founder of Innovative Impact LLC, the DEIA Round Table Series aims to explore strategies for fostering inclusive communities and overcoming barriers faced by individuals with disabilities.

The event is open to the public, and registration is free. Participants are encouraged to engage in the conversation, ask questions, and contribute to advancing disability inclusion.
