IASI, Romania - July 22, 2024 - PRLog -- Under the aegis of the "Remember Enescu" Cultural Foundation, passionately led by Professor Mihaela Tomescu, a new project co-funded by the National Cultural Fund Administration will begin on July 25, 2024, in Iași, following Enescu's routes.

A Tour for the Soul and Spirit

Comprising 10 exceptional recitals, 10 captivating lectures about Enescu, and seminars dedicated to the harp, the tour will traverse cultural centers: Bucharest, Focșani, Bârlad, Iași, and Piatra Neamț, as well as smaller localities, Tecuci and Miclăușeni.

The protagonists of this event are 6 talented young musicians: harpist Andrei Olaru, violinist Ștefania Turcu, flutist Mariia Velia, pianists Matei Lăbunț, Miruna Măciucă, and composer Oana Vardianu.

Innovation and Originality

The project stands out through two innovative aspects:
  1. Rediscovery of rare musical works or transcriptions for harp from the great Enescu's oeuvre.
  2. Absolute premiere of the work "Travel Impressions" by young composer Oana Vardianu, commissioned for this project.

Profound Social Commitment

The social dimension of the project is notable through:
  1. Promoting young musicians and stimulating contemporary musical creation.
  2. Providing access to culture for disadvantaged social categories: children, institutionalized elderly, and mothers in social difficulty.

Context and Importance

In a Romanian society where the need to preserve national values and provide access to education for the marginalized is vital, this project becomes a mission of honor.

On a deeply symbolic level, the project will follow routes traversed by Enescu himself, in the spirit of the legacy left by the great composer, who dedicated his entire life to art and promoting young artists.
