Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman extended a warm welcome to attendees, setting the tone for an evening of honor and gratitude. A highlight of the event was the presentation of quilts by Shelly Holt from Quilts of Valor, symbolizing comfort and appreciation for the veterans' service. Certificates of recognition were bestowed upon the graduates by distinguished representatives, including Larry Hamm from Congressman Steven Horsford's office, Amanda Kehrer and Maria Mandaleni-Orozco from the Nevada Department of Veteran Services, Andre' Haynes from the Armed Forces Chamber, and Ralph McNamara from the Vets Foundation. Judge Kelly Giordani from Las Vegas Municipal Court Department 6 delivered poignant remarks, emphasizing the significance of rehabilitation and support for veterans within the judicial system. Graduate speakers Gerrayl Bryson, Walner Gonzales, and Jason Sims, all veterans of the U.S. Army, shared their personal journeys and expressed gratitude for the opportunities provided by the program.
