ROSWELL, Ga. - Aug. 1, 2024 - PRLog -- J Michael Consulting, LLC (JMC) and the Center for Public Health Innovation (CPHI) are thrilled to announce the receipt of a prestigious grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The Notice of Award (NoA) UC1MC53078-01-00 supports the Cooperative Newborn Screening System Priorities Program, dedicated to advancing public health outcomes through innovative technology and collaborative efforts.

The awarded grant will fund a groundbreaking project focused on enhancing newborn screening systems using Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR). This initiative aims to streamline data sharing and improve the accuracy and efficiency of newborn screening processes, ultimately leading to better health outcomes for newborns.

The project is a collaborative effort involving a leading non-profit organization dedicated to newborn health and a State Public Health Laboratory (PHL). Together, this partnership will leverage the expertise and resources of each entity to implement and optimize FHIR standards within the newborn screening system.
