Lafayette Bicentennial Parade to Boston Common

BOSTON - Aug. 10, 2024 - PRLog -- We will honor Lafayette's legacy with a commemorative event on August 24, 2024.  A muster and a parade from the Ancient & Honorable Artillery Company Armory, beginning at Faneuil Hall, and then to Boston Common for a wreath-laying ceremony, followed by a review of the troops by General Lafayette. Parade participants will form on Boston Common, where Lafayette and many Federal and State dignitaries will address the crowd and receive a cannon salute. Join us as we pay tribute to Lafayette's return and celebrate the enduring spirit of freedom and friendship.  Order of events:

9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Complimentary breakfast at Faneuil Hall
10:30 Parade Staging
11:00 Parade Steps Off
11:40  Wreath-laying at Lafayette Mall on Boston Common
11:50 Pass and Review
12:00 Cannon salute and ceremonies
