Weaver Hipps Elementary School, a collaborative community partnership between The School District of Lee County, the Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida and Child Care of Southwest Florida. The new state-of-the- "We are thrilled to expand our services in Lehigh through this unique collaboration with The School District of Lee County and the Early Learning Coalition," said Chris Hansen, CEO of Child Care of Southwest Florida. "Through this partnership, we are able to extend our commitment to providing quality early childhood education and care to more families in the community. This will help ensure every child has a strong foundation for lifelong learning." Staffed with five new dedicated educators and a center director, the first classroom is designed for infants and toddlers, while the second classroom focuses on children ages 2 to 5 years old. The two specialized classrooms for Child Care of Southwest Florida will operate weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., providing convenient all-day care that aligns with the needs of working families. "Partnering with Child Care of Southwest Florida allows us to offer high-quality early learning programs to our students and ensure they are ready for kindergarten as they transition to the elementary school here at G. Weaver Hipps," said Dr. Deborah Nauss, Principal of G. Weaver Hipps Elementary School and Early Learning Center. "By offering priority enrollment to our dedicated teachers and staff, we can further support our educators and families, while also extending these vital services to the broader community of Lehigh." Located at 1200 Homestead Road, the G. Weaver Hipps Early Learning Center celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 5, hosted by The School District of Lee County. The event marked a significant milestone in the District's efforts to expand prekindergarten options and support for families. Tuition assistance is available, including School Readiness assistance through the Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida. Nutritious meals and snacks are included at no additional charge.
