New Community Resource Center to open in West Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Aug. 16, 2024 - PRLog -- Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida (SWFL) is opening a new Community Resource Center (CRC) located inside Goodwill's newest retail store opening on Monday, August 26^th.  The CRC will provide free digital skills training, resume building workshops, English as a Second Language, financial literacy, My ACCESS support and more. The CRC will open its doors August 26^th directly after the ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 8:30 a.m. It's located at 1499 S.W. Pine Island Rd. in Cape Coral.

This will be the second Goodwill CRC in Cape Coral. The first CRC is located within the Goodwill Retail Store located on Del Prado at 3226 Del Prado Blvd S. With the rapid growth of West Cape Coral and the increased need for services in the city, Goodwill leadership felt it vital to open another CRC in this ever-expanding area.

"We anticipate this to be a very busy center," says Carolyn Johnson, Chief Mission Officer of Goodwill. "Every day we are seeing an increased demand for employment assistance, English classes, digital upskilling, help with housing, ACCESS and other services that will help people navigate their way in this tough economy," continues Johnson.
