New Novel, 'Eleanora In Pieces,' Weaves Gripping Tale of Many Parents' Worst Fear

CHELMSFORD, Mass. - Sept. 5, 2024 - PRLog -- It is a parent's worst nightmare. You go to sleep and wake to find your child is gone. That nightmare becomes reality in Eleanora in Pieces, the gripping debut novel from Jessica Maffetore.

When Eleanora's son disappears from his bedroom one night two years ago, leaving no clues, she blames herself for failing to protect him. Since his disappearance, Eleanora has lived half a life, tormented by her parenting mistakes and fueled only by the hope and the intuition that he might still be alive. ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

A life-long New Englander, Maffetore's short fiction and poetry has been published in various literary magazines, including Poetry Quarterly, Sou'wester, OVS, Third Wednesday and Clare Literary Journal. She has been a guest columnist in the Fitchburg Sentinel & Enterprise. Jessica considers her greatest writing honor having Margaret Atwood once read one of her stories which she graciously called "evocative, chilling and deeply human."
