With the advent of modern leak testers, it became clear that air leak testing had incredible advantages over oil testing.

By operating at much lower pressures than functional ones, it was found that leak detection was much more accurate compared to the old oil tests, cleaner, thus allowing for easier repairs, more economical, and faster.

Currently, oil benches are used only for functional and sample burst tests.
The T8990 is the latest instrument with 'absolute pressure drop' technology and is perfect for testing all hydraulic components.

Specifically, for cylinder testing, it is available in a special kit that includes a custom pneumatic unit capable of automatically testing the 2 chambers of the cylinder in sequence.

The high measurement resolution allows even the smallest leaks to be detected, in the order of a few cc/min, ensuring perfect sealing of all tested components.
