Rising Photographer Aryan Mehra Debuts New Exhibition: WILD

WOODSIDE, Calif. - Sept. 3, 2024 - PRLog -- Aryan Mehra invites you to his much-anticipated exhibition WILD, at the Kriewall-Haehl Gallery in Rothrock Performing Arts Center at the Woodside Priory School in Portola Valley CA running from August 12 to September 26.

Aryan is a senior at The Nueva High School in San Mateo and the creator of @16mmphotos, named after the focal length, 16mm, known for its ability to capture crisp close-up foregrounds and stunning backgrounds in one shot. The mostly black and white exhibition captures majestic and vulnerable moments in time of nature and wildlife photography.

"I was inspired to become a photographer in 2019 as I embarked on a road trip from San Francisco to British Columbia and captured nature along the coast with a used camera gifted to me. Since then, I have embarked on many mindful expeditions with friends and family including a week-long backpacking trip in Yosemite and summiting Exit Glacier in Alaska," said Aryan while announcing his solo exhibition.

Opening Reception: The opening reception will be held on Friday, September 6, 6-8 pm, in the Kriewall-Haehl Gallery at the Woodside Priory School. The event will feature the artist's work, wine and appetizers, and an opportunity to meet Aryan Mehra.

About the Exhibition: WILD. Expressing the world through landscape and wildlife photography. Sharing out-of-the-ordinary moments and hidden wonders to encourage conscientious exploration, the preservation of nature, and the proliferation of photography as a medium of art.

About the Gallery: Established in 2007, the Kriewall-Haehl Gallery at Woodside Priory School serves as a vibrant hub for artistic expression and community inspiration. Located in the lobby of Priory's Rothrock Performing Arts Center, this distinctive space showcases the creative talents of students, faculty, and selected Bay Area artists. As a non-commercial gallery, it proudly celebrates art that enriches the educational experience and cultural fabric of Woodside Priory School, a co-educational, college-preparatory institution for grades 6-12.
