About the Author: Carey Scurry, born in the Mecca of Basketball, Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, is a former American professional basketball player. He played against players like Michael Jordan and other greats where his alley-oop dunks were legendary. Today, Scurry is the Founder and Executive Director of A Hoopster's Journey, a nonprofit supporting education and athletics for inner-city youth.
