Rockdale County Assistance: Environmental Justice Non-Profit to Host Press Conference October 1st

ATLANTA - Sept. 30, 2024 - PRLog -- Who: The Environmental Equity Information Institute (E2I2), a Georgia- based organization and subsidiary of Intellectual Concepts, LLC, will host a press conference to address air quality issues stemming from Sunday's chemical fire in Rockdale County. Highly decorated Dr. Femi Adesanya, E2I2 Founder, and Louise Palmer, E2I2 Executive Director, will share crucial air quality findings and critical safety measures for residents while offering (temporary) complimentary, patent-pending air monitors to ensure accurate air quality in affected areas.

What: The Press Conference topics will include:

Explaining EPA air quality readings and how they differ from hyper local air monitoring systems.

Providing access to air quality reporting tools:

• Dr. Femi and E2I2 want to temporarily offer air monitors to select affected surrounding areas.
• Explaining what air monitors do and why they are life-saving

Offer collaboration with local authorities:

• E2I2 wants to partner with county officials, Department of Public Health and the Environamntal Protection Agency (EPA)  to provide real-time air quality data and ensure community safety efforts are coordinated effectively.

Provide critical safety guidelines for residents & businesses such as:

• Wearing a wet mask helps break down harmful chemicals before they reach the mask's filter and enter the respiratory system.
• Turning off central and window air conditioning units to prevent contaminated outdoor air from circulating indoors.
• Staying indoors to reduce exposure to potentially harmful air conditions.

Additional advice on keeping children and pets safe to minimize risk.
