Taiwan Tourism Administration Expands Outreach with IMEX Las Vegas

XIZHI CITY, Taiwan - Oct. 4, 2024 - PRLog -- The Taiwan Tourism Administration, M.O.T.C. is actively expanding in the American market. Following the tourism promotion activities in North America in June, the Administration will embark again in October, heading to Las Vegas, USA, to create new opportunities for business travel and exhibitions. This initiative aims to boost Taiwan's exhibition industry while showcasing Taiwan's excellent facilities and environment for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE).

From October 8 to 10, 2024, the Taiwan Tourism Administration will team up with domestic MICE industry representatives and travel to Las Vegas to participate in IMEX America, a major international trade show for meetings and incentive travel. IMEX America is renowned as the largest professional exhibition for meetings and incentive travel in North America, attracting 3,443 exhibitors in 2023 and hosting a total of 15,000 participants. This year, professional MICE organizations from around the world, including Tourism New Zealand, France Convention Bureau, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions, and the Spain Convention Bureau, will be part of the event. This highlights the importance of expanding into the North American market through IMEX America, making it one of the key exhibitions for promoting Taiwan's MICE and incentive travel.

The Taiwan Tourism Administration, in collaboration with the Taipei City Government, will lead a group of seven Taiwanese MICE and incentive travel-related businesses, including three national airlines, to Las Vegas. They will promote direct flights between Taiwan and the U.S. while aligning with the Administration's initiative launched on May 1 to attract more international tourists (non-Republic of China nationals) to Taiwan.

Taiwan holds a unique and competitive edge in Asian tourism, offering a variety of travel resources, delicious cuisine, an excellent safety record, a convenient transportation system, and a welcoming cultural environment. These elements make Taiwan one of the top destinations for international tourists. The Tourism Administration aims to showcase the full potential of Taiwan's MICE and business travel through this promotional effort and continue to enhance Taiwan's MICE brand image, promoting long-term industry development.
