Follow on Google News | SPC Center for Public Safety Innovation (CPSI) Sponsors Wellness On the Go!By: Rize and React Media The "Wellness on the Go" workshop aims to equip adults with practical tools that they can immediately apply to support children's well-being. By integrating wellness practices into everyday life, participants will learn effective strategies to think outside the box to tweak wellness tools to easily and immediately apply them to help children as well as adults. Lisa Ullven, renowned for her innovative approach, will guide attendees through interactive sessions tailored to meet the unique challenges faced by advocates of children. When a mountain climbing accident broke her back in two places, doctors said Ullven would never walk again. Sharing highlights from the "Bouncing Back from Life's Falls" story she shares in her book, Ullven illustrates how she used the key concepts of WRAP® (Wellness Recovery Action Plan®) to recover fully. Advocates for Human Potential featured Ullven's story in their 25th-anniversary celebration video. https://www.youtu.be/ 'When experts said my recovery was "hopeless," I jokingly reminded them that I was able to move my "toe of hope." Over the years, my tiny but mighty toe has inspired children and adults to learn more and advocate for the ideal recovery option for them.' - Lisa Blackburn Ullven, Author of Multi-Year #1 Best Seller, "Secrets to Sustainable Solutions – Tips from Business, Science & Non-Profit Experts." About Wellness On the Go! When she volunteered after a natural disaster, Ullven was inspired to create an abbreviated "on the go" version of the 2-day Wellness Recovery Action Plan® class. She found that even the helpers from Case Managers to Fire Chiefs were in need of the added peace of mind that comes with a plan. The State of Florida Office, Office of the Attorney General, and SPC Center for Public Innovation, added Wellness On the Go! to the VOCA curriculum offered through the Office for Victims of Crime, Office of Justice Programs to their curriculum to help victims and advocates across the state of Florida.
